In the hieroglyphics of the Indiana Jones section of The Great Movie Ride, you’ll see Mickey, Donald, C-3PO and R2-D2. Obviously there were hard-core Star Wars fans involved when the section was created.

On the Animal Kingdom's Dinosaur ride, there are three pipes in the queuing area with chemical formulas printed on them. These are the formulas for ketchup, mustard, and mayonnaise.

The huge and impressive castle structure behind the German pavilion at Epcot was originally destined to house a boat ride that simulated a trip down the Rhine River. It didn’t work out that way but it’s still a very cool attraction for kids.

When visiting Disney World you should look for a wedding ring embedded in the concrete in line at The Haunted Mansion. It’s believed to belong to the hanging bride you see in the stretching room and attic scenes on the ride.

It's believed that Walt Disney went to many parks and observed how long people held on to trash before dropping it on the ground, and found that it was only about thirty steps. This is why there is never a trash can more than thirty steps from where you are in Disney parks.

It might be hard to believe that such a “heavenly” place for children doesn’t sell gum but the fact is that none of the shops in Disney World sell gum, which is why you will never see any stuck to the rides or sidewalks.

Sleeping Beauty Castle’s drawbridge is 100 percent real and works. Actually it has been raised twice: once on opening day, and again for a rededication in 1983.

There’s a secret, private apartment above the Fire Department in Town Square. Supposedly Walt and his family used this as an actual residence when they wanted to visit the park without being noticed.

Some claim that you can keep whatever you find in Disneyland, as long as you fill out a form and it isn't claimed within two months. However, Disneyland, says this is just a myth. Nevertheless there are many people who claim differently.

At the end of the Star Tours ride right when you are about to crash into a fuel truck there is a man who ducks and picks up a phone. That man is George Lucas and filmed the scene especially for the ride.

Main Street and Tomorrowland are set in two very special astronomical years. Main Street is set in 1910 and Tomorrowland is set in 1986, these years coincide with Haley’s Comet appearance.

Disneyland has its own shade of green called "Go Away Green" . It's meant to hide things like fences, garbage bins, and administrative buildings yet many people bring paint swatches to Disneyland and try to match the green for their own homes.

Inside the Matterhorn there is a quarter of a basketball court. Walt Disney did not like to waste any space so he asked the Matterhorn climbers what they would like inside and they voted for a basketball court.

The tombstones located in the Haunted Mansion feature the faces of a few of the early Disneyland Imagineers. The tombstones are also riddled with many inside joke references.

The Tiki Room was originally destined to be a restaurant. That is why it’s the only attraction in the park that includes bathrooms.

The park releases two hundred feral cats at night to catch mice and during the day they rest in well-hidden cat houses.

In order to avoid bureaucratic issues with the construction of Disney Land in the state of Florida (since the appointed land straddled two counties), Disney asked the Florida State legislature to let the company govern it's own land. This gave Disney powers ordinarily held by city governments such as the authority to open schools, create it's own police force, and create building codes.

The "Tree of Life" in Animal Kingdom was built around an old oil rig so it could withstand Florida hurricanes.

Steve Martin started off his professional career by selling guidebooks at Disneyland on the weekends. During his free time he would visit the Magic Shop. By August 1960 he was working in the Magic Shop showing all the tricks he had learned over the years.
